Prenatal Connective Tissue Massage
Prenatal Connective Tissue Massage combines the relaxing effects of traditional massage with the effectiveness of Structural Integration.
Prenatal CTM gently opens the superficial layers of fascia to provide a feeling of space and freedom inside your body. It effectively alleviates low back pain, rib tightness, sciatica, and other pregnancy related discomfort. Pregnancy brings profound changes to posture, movement, and the body’s connective tissue system. Prenatal Connective Tissue Massage is designed to support these changes through gentle fascial work and massage techniques aimed at improving comfort, mobility, and overall well-being throughout pregnancy.

Things to know before your session
Medical Clearance

Timing
Although prenatal bodywork can be performed during the first trimester, sessions are currently offered beginning in the second trimester.
Treatment
Goals
Prenatal sessions focus on comfort, support, and relieving tension associated with pregnancy-related changes rather than creating structural change.
What to expect during a session
Sessions are adapted specifically for pregnancy and are designed to provide support and comfort throughout treatment.
Much of the fascial work is performed in a supported side-lying position using pillows for comfort while addressing areas such as the ribs, hips, low back, and other regions commonly affected during pregnancy.
Face-up work is performed with supportive bolstering and an inclined position rather than lying flat on the back. Treatment may include connective tissue work for the legs before transitioning into massage for the arms, neck, and head.
